Mineshima GF-1 Glass File
Make gate cleanup faster and more efficient with the Mineshima GF-1 Glass File, a nano-glass file developed specifically for plastic model building.
The GF-1 combines both cutting and polishing performance in a single tool. Its cutting ability is approximately equivalent to #400–600 grit, while the resulting finish is comparable to approximately #2000 grit, allowing builders to remove excess plastic and refine the surface without switching between multiple sanding tools.
Designed for localized work such as gate removal and parting-line cleanup, the transparent glass construction also lets you see the surface while filing, helping reduce the risk of removing too much material.
Because it is made from nano glass, the file will not rust and can be cleaned with water or a soft brush when clogged. A dedicated protective case is included for convenient storage and transport.
For best results, use the GF-1 on localized plastic surfaces rather than large flat areas, curved surfaces, or painted parts. Mineshima advises against use on painted surfaces because paint residue can clog the file.
