Perfect Grade Unleashed 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam

Experience one of the most ambitious RX-78-2 Gunpla ever produced with the Perfect Grade Unleashed 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Developed as a culmination of 40 years of Gunpla evolution, the PG Unleashed RX-78-2 was designed around Bandai’s GUNPLA EVOLUTION LINK SYSTEM, which breaks the build into progressive phases focused on assembly, articulation, internal structure, exterior armour, and presentation. The result is a build intended to feel less like simply assembling a model and more like constructing a mobile suit layer by layer.

Standing approximately 300 mm tall, the completed Gundam combines a highly detailed internal frame with layered armour, metallic components, plated and metallic-finish parts, and extensive mechanical detailing. Bandai states that the kit uses more than 90 articulation points across the body, allowing the large 1/60 model to achieve a wide range of dynamic poses.

The integrated LED unit adds another level of presentation by illuminating the twin eyes, chest vents, backpack verniers, and beam saber. The internal construction is designed to preserve articulation while incorporating the lighting system.

The kit also uses metal parts and multiple surface finishes to distinguish different internal materials and mechanical components. Exterior armour can be opened in multiple areas to reveal the internal structure underneath, giving builders several ways to display the completed model—from fully armoured to partially exposed mechanical configurations.

With its large scale, layered construction, extensive articulation, lighting effects, and detailed inner frame, the PG Unleashed RX-78-2 is designed as both a substantial building project and a centerpiece display model.
