Create realistic heat discoloration and oil staining with the Tamiya Weathering Master Set D, a three-colour weathering palette designed for metal surfaces, engines, exhaust systems, machinery, and other mechanical details.
The set includes Burnt Blue, Burnt Red, and Oil Stain. Burnt Blue and Burnt Red are designed to recreate the distinctive colour changes seen on metal exposed to high temperatures, such as exhaust pipes, manifolds, thrusters, and engine components. Oil Stain adds a realistic brownish-grey tone for simulating oily residue, leaks, and grime around mechanical areas.
Tamiya supplies the set in a compact palette together with a dedicated sponge-and-brush applicator, allowing the colours to be rubbed, blended, and layered directly onto the model. This makes it easy to build subtle heat staining or stronger weathered effects without requiring an airbrush.
